Therapy usually has three parts. First, we talk about the problem and the goals you want to achieve. Sometimes you will know what the problem is and what you want to change, but it is not mandatory. If you come in and you are unsure or unaware of what is causing the problem or what your final goal is, we will take the time to work on that. Often, clients come in thinking about one problem, then during the conversation we discover that there is a more dominant/deeper problem that we need to address.
After that, you enter a state of deep relaxation in which your consciousness expands, and your focus is on what is happening inside you. You enjoy that state, and your subconscious mind is open to discovery. We combine the use of therapy, various psychological techniques, as well as suggestions. During the session, you also learn how to communicate with your subconscious and superconscious mind. You can then establish communication signals with your body or your inner self to help direct you in your daily life. You talk to the practitioner the whole time during therapy and you convey the impressions you have. Additionally, the therapist assists you in discovering all the skills that need to be put into action to create your desired change (or strengthen your existing condition).
After you exit the state of expanded consciousness, we dedicate some time to your impressions. During this period, you will receive some recommendations on what you can do in the coming days/weeks to supplement the session and its results. Of course, this is a general scenario, and each session has its own special flow because it is created for each client individually.
Throughout the process, you have control over the therapy. This means that you are aware of everything (which is extremely important because this is how your mind learns new patterns), you remember everything when the therapy is over, and you can convey everything you want to express at any time. So, if you want to get a blanket, or you need to go to the restroom during the session, it is all completely normal.
Therapy lasts about 90 minutes. Currently, all therapies are conducted online through the Zoom platform or any other platform we agree on. All you need is an internet connection and a device through which you can see and hear the therapist. You do not need any special technical knowledge since the link and all the instructions are sent to you before the session. It is also good to have a quiet, peaceful or intimate space where you can attend the session undisturbed.
Online therapy is just as effective and gives the same results as face-to-face therapy, even with some perks. You don’t have to travel, sit through traffic jams or look for parking. You can rather enjoy the comfort of your own home, which helps you to relax even more. Also, with online therapy, you can choose the therapist that best suits you, not just one that works in your area.
